The Revenue Cycle Project Manager II is responsible for managing projects and supporting initiatives of the CommonSpirit Health Revenue Cycle Management Team.
1. General Project Management
Plan, manage, and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring that stated goals and objectives are accomplished
within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. This includes but is not limited to:-
o Create a project charter
o Review of project proposals/plans to develop recommended time frames and budgeting requirements
o Identifying and managing resource allocation needs
o Establishing work plans and staffing models
o Formulating and defining scope and objectives
o Identifying and scheduling project deliverables, milestones and required tasks
o Create and implement issue management, risk management, communication, change management, and
relationship management plans and reporting
o Driving projects to successful completion and achievement of organization outcomes
2. Budgeting & Reporting
Develop and/or monitor engagement budget
Create, update, and distribute engagement status reports
Create, review and update project plans
Track quantitative and qualitative metrics tied to projects
3. Track and manage engagement activities using standardized methodology and systems
Manages and controls project progression to successful completion, including but not limited to:-
o Identifying required tools and methodology
o Monitoring schedules and budgets for compliance with established constraints
o Documentation and escalation of issues, risks, decisions and change of scope
o Identifying and communicating lessons learned
o Developing transition plan from project to production; manage project documentation.
o Formal closure of project
4. Education
Participate in internal education opportunities
Provide education regarding project management methodology and tools to stakeholders
5. Influence and collaboration with Teams
Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization, in order to influence
and lead project work
Provide hands-on expertise to the CommonSpirit Health Revenue Cycle Team
Act as a point of contact for external consultants and vendors
Improve team performance by providing feedback, initiating peer support, and assisting in obstacle
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree. At least 5 years related project management experience with a minimum of 1 years (preferred) obtained in a revenue cycle management setting. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management tool. Strong financial and operational expertise. Must be a strategic thinker and insightful decision maker with ability to analyze and solve problems and have demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to direct changes to existing routines or practices to meet changing organizational needs. Successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment in building durable working relationships in a matrix organization enhancing the physician and clinical department experience by developing and implementing streamlined, customer-friendly revenue cycle processes. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to educate and interact with all levels of healthcare professionals.
Required Licensure and Certifications PMP certification (preferred)
