Responsibilities

In keeping with Dignity Health core values, the Labor & Delivery Scrub Technician functions as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of obstetrical surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries. They actively participates as a member of the Labor & Delivery Patient Care Team.

Qualifications

  • Acute care experience.
  • Nurse assistants (CNA) / Unit clerks without acute care experience within one (1) year, will be considered on an individual basis.
  • A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience (or equivalent) in the capacity of:
    • a) an Operating Room Technician,
    • b)an OB Scrub Tech, or
    • c) an OB Tech;
        • or must have all of the following:
      • a) received practical education within the Hospital/surgical center or OB department within the last six (6) months,
      • b) above average performance during practical education, and
      • c) completion of a Surgical Technologist training program.
  • High school education (or equivalent)
  • BLS-CPR certification.
  • Scrub technician experience desired.
  • CNA Certificate Desired
  • Successful completion of an OR Technician Training program is highly desired.
