Responsibilities

Infusion RN Job Description

The Marian Medical Center Infusion Suite RN performs functions such as chemotherapy and therapeutic agent delivery via I.V. administration, patient education, assessment and follow-up, and documentation in the electronic medical record. These tasks are performed under the supervision of the Director of Oncology. Other related duties will be required as necessary.

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

* Necessary skills in administering chemotherapy drugs
* Working knowledge of various venous access devices
* Understanding of and implementation of CDC standards related to blood and body fluid exposure
* In-depth knowledge of medical disorders related to cancer and chemotherapy

Qualifications

  • Must possess current California Registered Nursing License.
  • CPR - BLS certificate required - May obtain within 30 days of hire date.

  • OCN Certification is preferred
