Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for a variety of duties relating to the operation and maintenance of the hospital's plant and various equipment. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity, the Watch/Maintenance Engineer who assumes responsibility and accountability for the Applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty. Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • Two (2)years of journey level engineering experience in operations, maintenance, and repair work within a hospital, industrial, commercial building, or marine engineering environment.
  • Must have experience with high pressure boilers, emergency generators, and heating, pneumatic, lighting, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment including the methods, tools, and materials used in the operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.
  • Completion of at least four years in a recognized stationary engineer maintenance engineer apprenticeship program will be accepted in lieu of journey level experience.

Preferred:

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry
