Responsibilities

We're looking for a dedicated and thorough Senior Housekeeper to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our healthcare facility, directly contributing to the well-being of everyone we serve.

 

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas according to established protocols.
  • Follow strict cleaning and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Collect and dispose of waste, including biohazardous materials and linens, following proper procedures.
  • Replenish supplies in patient rooms and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests from healthcare staff.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including heavy-duty machinery and specialized tools.

 

Qualifications

  • 5 years of acute healthcare experience as an EVS Tech. 
  • Ability to converse/comprehend/communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
  • Ability to work as needed at both campuses.
  • Ability to participate in staff development training.
  • Ability to participate in a quality control program

 

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
