Responsibilities

About the Position

The Volunteer Service Specialist performs all aspects of office coordination to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Volunteer office while modeling excellence and professionalism. Available to all guests to the volunteer offices in requests for information, support, or problem resolution, including routine inquiries. Responsible for supportive

presence and oversight of volunteers and ensuring volunteer attendance, compliance, and coverage. Also supports the work of the Volunteer Office through clerical tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, etc.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant administrative support experience.
  • Experience in managing volunteer service groups or organizations preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, interpersonal communication skills and problem solving.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must exercise a high degree of independence and initiative.
  • Experience in working with an information database preferred

 

Qualifications
