Responsibilities

Schedules all nursing and related clinical staff in designated patient care units and maintains the Trauma Registry.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains daily and master staffing plan.
  • Receives and gathers data to forecast and validate staffing needs.
  • Adjust staff coverage in response to changes in patient census, patient acuity and over-staffing of work unit.
  • Keeps unit managers up to date on staffing.
  • Maintains the Trauma Registry.
  • Abstracts data from patient records into registy.
  • Codes diagnosiss.
  • Submits trauma registry data to the state.

Qualifications

License/Certification:

  • Oregon CNA license preferred
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years experience working in acute care hospital setting
  • 1 year general office, clerical or business-related experience
  • 1 year administrative experience
  • Emergency department experience

Education:

  • Some undergraduate level coursework
