Responsibilities

St. Bernardine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Radiology Assistant to support the Medical Imaging Department. Under the direct supervision of the Charge Technologist, Technical Supervisor, and Director of Medical Imaging, the Radiology Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth departmental operations and providing exceptional patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Imaging Department.
  • Assist physicians with routine diagnostic imaging procedures in alignment with hospital and departmental policies.
  • Perform aseptic techniques, adult catheterization, and quality control checks on imaging processors.
  • Ensure adequate inventory by stocking linens and expendable materials.
  • Manage clerical tasks such as answering telephones, handling patient records, and facilitating internal communication.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support the strategic goals of St. Bernardine Medical Center.

Qualifications

  • College classes in emergency medical training preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and demonstrate exceptional interactive skills with capability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate good clerical skills.
  • AHA-BLS
