Responsibilities

Position Summary:
 
The incumbent is responsible for specimen procurement and dispatch. The incumbent is also responsible for department support in processing and microbiology. The incumbent may be assigned other relevant duties in support of the Laboratory.

 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year recent work experience as a Phlebotomist is required, may consider candidates with less experience if no qualified applicants apply
  • Current CPT1 License
  • Completion of state approved phlebotomy class required
  • Current BLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association)
  • Typing, organizational skills, knowledge of computers, ability to accurately enter data and ability to remain calm and function efficiently during difficult or emergency situations required
