Dignity Health Advanced Imaging, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 23 locations across Redding, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Woodland. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175,000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging, compassionate care, and timely service with a smile.
The Imaging Specialist Lead position is responsible for knowing their professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the
orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. The Imaging Specialist Lead maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment and
performs patient care services that support the physician / provider's practice under the supervision of the radiologists, other licensed staff and management. This includes assisting in prepping patients for all imaging examinations, relaying instructions from the radiologist to a patient or authorized person, collecting patient data, documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the radiologist's review, and performing diagnostic medical imaging. Acts as a key resource to other technologists, support staff and students to ensure optimal department functions. Develops and assists with performance improvement in order to provide optimal patient care. Provides proper training and orientation to new staff and monitors progress using a planned training schedule. The Imaging Specialist Lead is responsible for all day-to-day technical operation activities that support patients, physicians, clinic staff, hospital staff, and visitors by offering leadership, vision, open communication, solutions and customer service. Under the direction of their supervisor, all regulatory, HIPAA, health and safety and other compliance directives meet standards. Maintains and improves operations through efficient use of organizational resources and systems. Responsible for ensuring organizational goals, benchmarks, quality patient care initiatives, and objectives are met or exceeded. May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
