Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.

The incumbent provides clinical expertise in the area of the trauma patient population. The incumbent organizes services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach to the care and the ability to strategically support the Trauma Center at the local and regional levels. The incumbent serves as the expert in trauma-related issues and serves as a resource for clinical practice, education, quality assurance and continuous improvement in the care of the injured patient. In addition, the incumbent establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with all disciplines and departments necessary to create optimal patient outcomes and a professional practice environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year recent critical care or emergency department experience required
Experience in Trauma/EMS is preferred
Education:
AA degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
BS degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred
Licensure:
Licensed or eligible for licensing in State as a Registered Nurse and BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required. RN:CA; PALS; ACLS; BLS-CPR; TNCC
