Overview

Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center. In 2025, we opened our new patient tower, Grand Tower, featuring a dramatically expanded Emergency Department and Family Birth Center that will increase patient comfort and privacy.

Responsibilities

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. Under the direction of the department manager and the direct supervision of the clerical supervisor will independently performs a latitude of complex clerical and secretarial duties in the Radiology department.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with filing preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to verbally communicate clearly in English, including a solid knowledge of written communication skills.
  • Requires the knowledge of Microsoft Suite(Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Workspace, e-mail and medical transcription programs.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service with sensitivity to age, cultural and ethnic differences among the population served.
