As our Pharmacist at Dignity Health, you will be an essential member of the healthcare team, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise is critical to patient care.

You'll also play a key role in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and monitor patient treatment plans. This includes performing drug utilization reviews, checking for potential drug interactions, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.

You'll serve as a trusted resource, providing accurate and timely drug information. Your commitment to patient safety and a high level of clinical knowledge will be crucial in this role.

• Ensure the appropriate handling, processing and dispensing of all designated high risk medications in accordance with hospital policy.
• Ensures the timely clarification of medication orders.
• Assures entries to the patient medication profile present no significant problems in regard to drug interactions, drug-allergy interactions, incompatibilities, therapeutic duplications or patient safety, and intervenes as appropriate.
• Prepares, verifies and dispenses medications in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing available safety features (eg, barcoding) as outlined in our facility policy.

Miniumum:

• B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D.

• Valid Arizona pharmacist license

Preferred

• One year acute care experience

• Strong clinical pharmacy skills

• Previous experience with Hospital Pharmacy computer systems
