Overview

The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care, Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Neurological Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Care, Maternity Care, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services, along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The incumbent performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of the cardiologist qualified in diagnostic ultrasound according to department protocol. The incumbent performs echocardiograms including but not limited to: saline contrast studies, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms. 

 

Successful candidate will be required to work at both MMCR and SECH to meet business need. Call is required.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience performing echocardiograms,including transesophageal and stress, on all patient populations (including infants) in an acute care hospital required  
  • Current California RDMS (Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers) license required or RDMS eligibility required
  • Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Syngo Dynamics software preferred
