The OR Clinical Nurse is an experienced practitioner that works at Marian Medical Center in accordance with the facility's health care philosophy and is expected to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care and the ability to practice independently at MMC and relevant entities. They are also a resource person and preceptor. The OR Clinical Nurse must identify and implement nursing interventions for patients, as well as evaluate the results of those interventions. They support and promote the provision of high-quality patient care.
The OR Clinical Nurse must have the ability to work within a team-based model of patient-care delivery and be able to demonstrate basic and specialty nursing skills. In addition, the OR Clinical Nurse must demonstrate knowledge of the nursing process, including the ability to apply those principles appropriately. Clear and effective written and oral communication skills in English and objective, active listening skills are also required. The OR Clinical Nurse must be able to react calmly and efficiently in emergency situations and have excellent interpersonal skills. Being able to collaborate and provide leadership to the patient-care team is a plus.
The OR Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality patient care and must be capable of achieving results for the organization with and through other people while utilizing creative and innovative solutions. Conflict management and problem-solving skills are a requirement.
