Responsibilities

Here are the duties of an Infusion Suite RN, in keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy:

 

*Administering chemotherapy and therapeutic agents through IV administration.

*Providing patient education, assessment, and follow-up.

* Documenting all procedures and findings in the electronic medical record.

* Maintaining knowledge of and adherence to the CDC’s standards for exposure to blood and other body fluids.

*Maintaining the skills necessary for the administration of chemotherapy drugs.

* Staying current on all knowledge relevant to this position, including venous access devices and medical disorders associated with cancer and chemotherapy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess current California Registered Nursing License (RN)

  • BLS certificate required - may obtain within 30 days from date of hire

  • Preferred: OCN Certification
