Overview

CHI Health St. Elizabeth, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889, is a full-service, 260-bed, nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln, Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care, women’s health, burn and wound, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, orthopedics and neuroscience.

Responsibilities

Student will perform under the supervision of a Nebraska licensed Medical Radiographer registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

 

  • PRN Opportunity

 

  • Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures.  Radiographic procedures must not include CT, the use of contrast media, and the use of fluoroscopic or mammographic equipment
  • Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner
  • Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns
  • Completes documentation of patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes
  • Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Education

  • Current enrollment at the senior level in a school of  Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

 

Licensure & Certification 

  • State of Nebraska Temporary Medical Radiographer license
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture as required for position
  • Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments
  • Must be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
  • Interpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members
