Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment. The position reports to the Director Rural Health Clinics.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year experience in a outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting (if operationally able willing to train in lieu of experience) 
  • Medical terminology, ability to clearly communicate and understand English 
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace
  • BLS Certification through an American Heart Association (AHA) provider

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years experience in a clinical setting 
  • Associates degree in a related field 
  • Working knowledge of state supported programs specific to rural health clinics and Medical Assistant certification 
  • Spanish speaking skills
