The Sterile Processing Supervisor reports directly to Surgical Support Staff Supervisor. The Sterile Processing Supervisor manages the daily flow and availability of instruments in the department, communicates directly with the operating room charge nurses for updates, answers the phone, directs the staff, places supply orders and manages repair needs. The Sterile Processing Supervisor is also responsible to assist in staff scheduling, hiring and disciplinary processes, and in completing staff evaluations.
