Position Summary:

The Birth Registrar obtains information from parents and the medical record to submit to Vital Records for completion of the Birth Certificate.

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication skills, good general office skills and analytical skills. Strong ability to work in a stressful environment. 
• Typing speed 55.

Preferred:

• One year Medical Record experience. 
• Medical terminology.
• Spanish fluency. 
• Basic computer functions: data entry, Word program. 
• Proficient data entry.
