Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Provide individual and small group tutoring services to Kinder through 6th grade students in our Homework and Afterschool Clubs. The tutor will be responsible for guiding students to improve their academic performance through extended lessons, creative teaching, and interactive materials. Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, discussing written materials, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems. Our team offers compassionate, motivating assistance to each student with the goal of helping each student reach their academic potential. In addition to their daily tutoring responsibilities, the lead tutor will also be responsible for the managing of snacks, supplies, the creation and development of a weekly educational curriculum, activity scheduling, testing, and supervising the summer program.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Graduate
  • 1-2 years of college courses
  • Strong academic performance in Math, English, and Computer Science.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior tutoring experience with children. 
  • Membership to a National Tutoring Association
  • Bilingual preferred.
