Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy suite, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.
Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures.
Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care.
Maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Graduate of an RN nursing program.
Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
Knowledge of current nursing practice, critical thinking skills, professional verbal and written communication skills, technical/computer skills, attention to detail, customer service skills, adaptability, maintain confidentiality.
