Responsibilities

Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI LakeWood Health. We're hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist at our Critical Access Hospital! The Rad Tech works with patients to produce high quality radiographs, computerized tomographic procedures (CT) and DEXA to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury as prescribed by physicians. This position is integral to maintaining excellent patient care! No CT or Dexa? No problem! We will train and accept a newly graduated RT! 

 

Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. 

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

What you'll do...

  • Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
  • Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • AAS Radiologic Technologist (RT) degree from accredited program
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT),or registry eligible within six (6) months of hire date. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal relationship, and customer service skills.

 

 

Preferred:

  • CT trained
  • Dexa
