Responsibilities

In keeping with the Marian Regional Medical Center healthcare philosophy, the Medical Social Worker is responsible for providing direct casework services to patients and families and for collaboration with appropriate healthcare workers and community agencies. May participate in providing care to patients in the Community Based Palliative Care (CBPC) Program upon completion of appropriate orientation. As an employee of Marian Regional Medical Center, adherence to the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health will be expected.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate school internship experience in a healthcare setting with references verifying the ability to function with a high degree of independence and clinical competence plus one year social work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Graduate of accredited Social Work program with Masters of Social Work
  • Masters of Social Work.
  • Current CPR-AHA certification (CT CPRBLS)
  • California drivers license (CA DL)
  • Proof of liability insurance for automobile being used.

Preferred Experience:

  • Home Health experience
