A CommonSpirit Health Traveler RN is a direct clinical patient care registered nurse (RN) who provides independent patient care within their scope of practice. The nurse is highly skilled in patient care; actively enhancing core nursing skills and developing advanced nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors through education and involvement in nursing activities beyond basic job requirements and responsibilities.
Minimum 2 years of experience as registered nurse in specialty area(s) (e.g., medical/surgical, telemetry, intensive care, emergency department, operating room, post-anesthesia recovery, pediatrics, maternal-child health)
ADN or Nursing Diploma required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Registered Nurse Current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing. Compact state licensure required.
Current certification from AHA in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Other credentials may be required based on specialty and area(s) of assignment as specified by the requesting facility, state licensure and other regulatory requirements for local, state and federal agencies.
Certification in Specialty preferred; Certifications and competencies to support care area and patient population served. System and Hospital specific and regulatory training as defined for role.
