Responsibilities

Norton Thoracic Institute is committed to research and education.

The Norton Thoracic Research Laboratory on the campus of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center opened in July of 2015, and is dedicated to research of esophageal and cardiac disease, lung cancer and cancer immunology, and transplant immunology.  Dignity Health currently supports 16 internal Institutional Review Boards providing oversight for nearly 1,000 clinical trials across the system. With both basic research laboratories as well as hundreds of clinical trials, patients have access to state-of-the-art treatments.

 

The Norton Thoracic Research Institute is seeking a Clinical Research Specialist to support the NTI Tissue studies and device studies.

Coordinates and participates in clinical research studies. Collects, compiles, documents, and reports clinical research data.

Prepares project reports as it relates to program management and grant funding.

 

The Clinical Research Assistant must have experience in phlebotomy/venipuncture and experience coordinating prospective clinical trials.

Experience in tissue retrieval and processing is a plus!

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

Minimum 2 years related experience required.

 

Competent in computer skills including the Microsoft Office products required.

 

Associates degree in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/ or job-related experience in lieu of degree required.

 

Preferred:

 

Three (3) years clinical research experience preferred

 

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
