Responsibilities

In this rewarding role, you'll be the face of our DME service, providing a comprehensive and caring experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for delivering, setting up, and educating patients on the proper and safe use of their medical equipment and supplies in their homes and other designated locations.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Connect with Patients: Communicate with patients and caregivers to schedule deliveries and provide a 2-hour delivery window.
  • Plan Your Route: Create efficient daily routes and ensure a copy is left at the base.
  • Ensure Vehicle Safety: Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and cleaning according to policy, DOT, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep Your Vehicle Stocked: Replenish vehicle par levels, stocking and documenting asset and lot numbers as required.
  • Educate and Empower: Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on the proper and safe usage of DME equipment, and complete patient safety assessments.
  • Deliver and Retrieve Equipment: Deliver and retrieve medical equipment and supplies in a home or institutional environment.
  • Manage Inventory: Assist with inventory, documenting patient equipment, specialty items, and supplies.
  • Document Your Work: Record patient and departmental issues, input data on delivery tickets and manifests, and complete all other required documentation.
  • Maintain Equipment: Inspect, clean, and repair equipment per policy and regulatory standards.
  • Provide On-Call Support: Participate in mandatory rotating on-call coverage.

  • Basic knowledge of the function and use of a wide variety of DME products.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, family members, staff, other departments, and outside facilities.

  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Licensure:

  • Satisfactory Abstract of driving record
  • Current Washington State driver's license
