About This Position
In keeping with Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Nurse Assistant/Unit Clerk serves as unit receptionist, transcribes orders, orders tests, orders and monitors supply inventory and coordinates unit phone communication.

BLS Required
Acute care experience within the last two years. Nurse assistants/unit clerks without acute care experience within the last two years will be considered on an individual basis. Effective oral and written communication in English, clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and staff. Ability to operate common office equipment, including computers. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures. Relates to patients/visitors empathetically and tactfully. Demonstrates a caring, compassionate attitude toward others. Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergency situations. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
