Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Central Processing Tech is responsible for receiving and processing incoming supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, linen and instruments in Central Processing. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Two (2) years of central processing experience or recent completion of central sterile processing externship.
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • CSPDT or CRCST required
  • Knowledge of basic math, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manners and hand/eye coordination.
  • Working knowledge of sterilization techniques and Infection Control procedures.
  • Familiar with medical instruments/equipment care and assemble.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • CT SPT
