Responsibilities

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. The Educator plans, manages, delivers and evaluates continuing education and training interventions for CHMC health professionals and ancillary personnel as well as for health professionals in the corporate and outside community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in the health care field, including significant experience with clinical nursing and education.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters Degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, Fire
  • Through knowledge of health care field and principles of adult education and instructional design. High degree of knowledge as well as clinical competence.
  • Familiarity with competency based assessment.
  • General knowledge of management theory and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, manage and conduct continuing professional and education/training programs; to create innovative, cost effective educational interventions which cross multiple health care system boundaries; to facilitate positive professional interaction between health care groups, CHMC departments, management team and CHW affiliates.
  • High degree of initiative, planning, energy and judgment is required. Skilled in communication (one-to-one and group) Strong speaking/presentation and listening skills.
