Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Support Clerk IV is responsible for performing assigned phases of office procedures and clerical duties for the operation of the Radiology Department. This position requires good organizational skills and ability to be self-directed, knowledge and ability in use of computers, and good customer service skills. Responsible for knowledge of State and Federal Laws governing release of medical information. Duties include ability to balance multiple phone lines and multi-task in many different imaging applications while working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • Minimum 6 months experience in related clerical position or one year experience in a general hospital setting.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Must have clear understanding of office procedures.
  • Customer service experience and excellent communication skills. Good writing and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and work with people cordially and professionally.

Preferred: 

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Medical Terminology
