Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision from the Director of Medical Imaging and indirect supervision from the Imaging Medical Director supervises the Imaging staff in the performance of routine diagnostic procedures on a specific shift. Effectively recommends related administrative actions, including but not limited to performance reviews and disciplinary action for Imaging staff under his/her control. Performs diagnostic procedures according to established standards and department policies. Prepares diagnostic procedures for interpretation in accordance with established department policies and procedures. Also performs a variety of other duties including scheduling procedures, answering telephones, and interacting with other departmental and hospital employees. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting or one year experience as a MRI Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) 
  • Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certifications.
  • California Radiologic Technology license (CRT)

 

Education:

  • Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.

 

Licensure:

  • ARRT, BLS, CRT

 

Preferred/Desired:

  • One year experience as a MRI Technologist in a hospital setting.
