Responsibilities

Assist the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Vocational nurse in providing comprehensive patient care. Anticipate patient need for cleanliness and comfort. Assure all assigned activities are performed in a timely and complete manner.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Nurse Assistant Certification OR successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals class and current enrollment in an accredited nursing school OR a graduate from an accredited LVN or RN nursing program.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • BLS, CNA or completion of their Nursing Fundamentals class and currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:

Ability to demonstrate respect for people; courteous behavior to fellow employees, patients, their relatives, visitors, and the Medical staff; and follow the core values of the organization. Ability to accept supervision and guidelines and work cooperatively with others. Ability to follow regulations of the Hospital pertaining to job performance, behavior, dress code, and patient care. Ability to be flexible in meeting the needs of varying situations. Ability to ensure that patients' rights are respected.

 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
