This job is responsible for overseeing the management and daily operations of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) medical clinic in Bellevue in accordance with overall business objectives, professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Work includes providing leadership and expertise in assessing, developing and implementing initiatives/activities which improve financial performance/productivity, maximize effective utilization of resources and enhance the service satisfaction of all identified customer groups. An incumbent serves as a key leadership resource to identify, analyze and administer new projects/programs/acquisitions and ensures that program development, clinical quality, fiscal management, compliance, provider relationships, communication and patient/staff satisfaction are optimized.
An incumbent directs activities through subordinate management staff, with accountability for and oversight of all aspects of
clinic operations for the assigned region/designated medical specialty, including business plan development, financial
management, planning and successful implementation of strategic initiatives which improve utilization of resources,
productivity, access, patient experience and market competitiveness.
Work also includes oversight of clinical strategic initiatives specific to the assigned medical specialty across the medical group
and responsibility for advancing VMFH mission, vision and values by communicating/building an understanding of, and
commitment to, corporate goals to deliver health care to those in need.
Job duties require considerable knowledge of the specialized principles and practices related to health care management in
order to evaluate and make viable recommendations in support of clinical effectiveness, service delivery and organizational
performance improvement. Performance improvement efforts cover a variety of areas, and an incumbent must be sufficiently
knowledgeable to recognize important synergies and opportunities in clinical/service outcomes, cost containment, patient
safety/satisfaction, risk reduction and regulatory compliance.
