Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Imaging Tech II to join our dynamic and growing Radiology team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including routine MRI and diagnostic radiographic procedures, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.

 

  • Perform routine MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including basic trauma and fluoroscopic procedures in surgery.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Position patients accurately and efficiently to obtain optimal images.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Process and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation by hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure continuous improvement in imaging services.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital and radiology department is required. 
  • Must have satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school or a BS or AA degree in Radiological Technology in an AMA approved school. 
  • Cross-training in CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography is required. 
  • ARRT (national) License required.
  • CRT (state) and Fluoroscopy certification required. 
  • Certification in one modality required. 
  • Must maintain Fire Safety card.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
