The Monitor Tech is responsible for performing and editing EKGs for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as conducting stress tests, including pharmacologic and standard protocols. 

• Proficient in performance of EKGS, testing of both inpatients and outpatients.
• Proficient performing Stress Tests on outpatients and inpatients on pharmacologic as well as regular stress tests
• Performs editing of EKGs within the department and assists with the maintenance of the MUSE system.
• Handling of front desk duties of scheduling and coordinating of studies as needed.
• Maintains and organizes his unit with supplies and equipment.
• Completes special projects as assigned by leadership

Minimum:

• HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Minimum of one year experience as cardiology technician, or experience as a monitor technician

• Basic EKG class or successful completion of the Basic Rhythm test

• Current American Heart Association-issued BLS card

Preferred:

• Previous skills in EKG and stress test performance
