Responsibilities

The incumbent is accountable and responsible for decontamination, instrument recognition, set assembly, dispensing carts, sterilization and documentation in all medical centers and clinics are required or assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • This position requires Six (6) months Sterile Processing/Operating Room environment of CSPD Technician. 
  • Surgery Technician training and knowledge of surgical instruments and the appropriate cleaning and decontamination processes and infection control practices in relation to Standard Precautions.  
  • Candidates must have completed a Certified Sterile Processing Program Medical Terminology
  • BLS from the American Heart Association.   
  • CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) from CBSPD
  • The CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) from CBSPD
  • The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from IAHCSMM
  • International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management and BLS from AHA certified provider is required.
