Nestled in the heart of East Sacramento, Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital is a 313 bed acute care facility that provides a wide range of services with special advocacy for the poor and underserved. Mercy General is home to the nationally ranked Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Institute. Key achievements and recognitions include: from the Joint Commission; Advanced Joint Replacement, Spine Center of Excellence Primary Stroke Center, Ventricular Assist Device, and Chest Pain Certification. Responsibilities

Position Summary: 

 

Our Medical Telemetry provides care for a diverse population of patients, primarily patients needing telemetry, and with a focus on respiratory conditions. We are one of the major teaching units in our hospital due to the wide variety of diagnoses and patient populations. It is a challenging and rewarding environment that fosters learning on a daily basis. Our team is committed to providing high quality patient care, while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction of both patient and employee. We are trained and equipped to respond to urgent changes in medical conditions to support the best patient outcome. Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility 
  • Successful completion of the following courses within the first 6 months of hire: Telemetry Certification, Procedural Sedation, Ventilator Management and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (must be certified through the American Heart Association) 
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
