The Pre Admission Testing Clinic at St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a nine room unit, located in a state of the art facility inside the Barrow Neuroplex. The clinic staff are responsible for optimizing patients prior to procedure for a variety of servicelines with both in person and phone interviews. If you enjoy teaching patients about what to expect around their procedure, this is the unit for you!
Conduct thorough pre-admission nursing assessments including medical history, current health status, medications, allergies, and other relevant clinical information.
Review patient medical records and identify potential risks or special needs before admission.
Collaborate with physicians, admitting staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure complete and accurate pre-admission data.
Provide patient and family education regarding the admission process, procedures, and any pre-admission instructions.
Document all pre-admission assessments and communicate findings clearly to the admitting and care teams.
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ or Compact RN license
One (1) year RN recent acute care experience
Certifications- American Heart Association required
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
