Where You’ll Work

The Skilled Care unit is a licensed 36-bed facility providing a variety of care needs post hospitalization. In addition to our highly-trained nurses, available 24/7, we offer a full-scope of rehabilitation services, social workers to arrange for care after discharge and activities directors to help our patients reach their goals.

 

CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1887. Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1,100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Skilled Care Registered Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you’ll provide care services to the residents. This opportunity provides you with the chance to build on your education and experience in a skilled nursing setting while being part of an interdisciplinary team that administers individualized and comprehensive care to residents.

 

  • Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

 

 

Incentives: Up to $10,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required from American Heart Association
