Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical Information Management Technician II regularly performs a variety of more complex MIM Tech functions, under the general supervision of the manager.
Processes and manages government denials. Exercises a high degree of independence and initiative and may be assigned to work on special projects and assist less experienced MIM Techs in the performance of MIM responsibilities. .

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Medical Information Management required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associates degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
  • Understands the organization and operation of a medical records department
  • Understanding of database managment principles required.
  • Proficient with MicroSoft office suite required
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Demonstrated customer service skills required
  • Medical terminology required
  • Able to read, speak and write English
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions correctly
