Responsibilities

Position Summary:

  • In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Senior OB Scrub Technician is a professional caregiver who works under the direction of an RN.
  • They provide direct patient care and acts as a scrub technician for OB surgical procedures.
  • The Senior OB Scrub Technician oversees the orientation of OB Scrub Technicians and assesses initial and annual competency of OB Scrub Technicians.
  • The Senior OB Scrub Technician assumes responsibility and accountability for organizing and maintaining supplies and charges to ensure an efficient work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Three (3) years acute care hospital experience as an Obstetrical Technician.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • BLS-CPR
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

  • Scrub course or Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) preferred.
  • Current training in Basic Life Support for healthcare providers. (CT RBLS)
