Responsibilities

Position Summary:
 

As the Manager of Security for Northridge Hospital your primary objective will be to maintain a safe, secure and threat free environment. You will provide a framework for the successful implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Security Program, manage Security personnel in the daily activities related to protecting the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff and physicians, and ensure that officers are properly trained and capable of carrying out their assigned duties. You will also develop and implements the Security Management Plan and manage/coordinate responses to critical incidents, including emergency management.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice, Safety Administration, Emergency Management required; or a combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing a Security/public safety-related program required.
  • Experience with budgets, program management, policy design and implementation oversight required.
  • Law enforcement and/or military security related experience to include leadership role required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Current state driver's license required.
  • Security Guard regular permit required.
  • American Hospital Association compliant CPR BLS required within 90 days of employment.
Required Special Skills and Training: 
  • Familiar with The Joint Commission (TJC), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and OSHA regulations and standards required.
  • Completed Workplace violence training required within 6 months of employment.
  • Completed ICS 100HC, 200HC, 700 courses or state equivalent required.
