Responsibilities

In keeping with the Marian Medical philosophy, the Staffing Coordinator II is responsible for Staffing Office functions, including but not limited to all staffing and scheduling functions of designated nursing units, patient placement and patient transport scheduling . The Staffing Coordinator II ensures productivity reports are completed and distributed appropriately. The Staffing Coordinator II works in collaboration with the nursing directors to recruit and retain contract nursing staff.

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Strong secretarial and/or administrative background
  • Strong typing and computer skills, preferably Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong math background

Preferred/Desired:

  • One (1) to two (2) years of previous acute care experience

  • Previous hospital experience

  • Medical terminology knowledge

Special Skills:

  • Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers

  • Must possess strong leadership abilities

  • Assures a positive image is presented to visitors, in keeping with the MMC philosophy

  • Able to communicate effectively and with confidentiality

  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies

  • Basic computer skills
