Overview

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center including the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services. Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic examinations and therapeutic procedures utilizing radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of physicians licensed to possess and use radioactive materials.

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed under the California Radiologic Health Branch in Nuclear Medicine (RG-RHNM)
  • BLS required.
    Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • 2 years Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
  • ARRT and/or NMTCB preferred.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and how to draw and interpret a bar graph.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents and logarithms.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
