Overview

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center including the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services. Responsibilities

We are currently in search of a dynamic, passionate, and skilled Communications Manager to join Bakersfield Memorial as part of the broader Bakersfield team. This role will be reporting to the Market Director and will be instrumental in shaping and executing marketing and communication strategies within the market. The Communications Manager provides leadership and support for marketing and communications efforts in support of clinics, facilities and services within the Bakersfield Market. The role works in coordination and under the direction and alignment with the region and system marketing & communications leadership teams respectively.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans.
