Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performsduties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Plans, directs, manages/conducts, and evaluates educational activities in Critical Care areas, and programs which include general nursing mandatory education and nursing orientation. In addition, he/she provides support and direction for patient management and standards for quality patient care.
Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
BSN Degree must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
CA RN License,BLS (AHA) required. BLS and ACLS Instructor status required within 6 months of hire. PALS Instructor status required within 1 year.
Three (3) years of experience in education and staff development preferred.
Master's Degree in nursing preferred.
ACLS/ BLS/ PALS instructor preferred
Certification in specialty area (s) preferred. ECC instructor status preferred.
