Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will help neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients receive invivo studies and therapeutic and diagnostic imaging procedures so they can aid in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

 

Every day you will perform imaging and in-vivo procedures according to physician orders, order and prepare all necessary isotopes, and maintain the daily operations of a single-technologist department.

 

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate competency across all patient populations, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and ensure compliance with radiation safety and quality control standards.

  • Perform all imaging and in-vivo procedures according to established standards.
  • Order, prepare, and calibrate all isotopes for patient use.
  • Order and maintain all necessary supplies for the nuclear medicine service.
  • Conduct quality control checks on all nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Assurance (QA) Plan in accordance with Federal, State, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Serve as the Radiation Safety Officer, maintaining the Radiation Safety Program for the facility.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Current California State certification in all categories of Nuclear Medicine Technology (board license)
  • Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by one or more national certification boards: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association

Preferred

  • Four (4) Years Of Experience as a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
