The Registered EEG Tech performs EEG testing, LTVM testing, ambulatory EEG hook-up and download, assists with
nerve conduction and EMG studies.
1. Must be proficient in 10-20 system hook-up for outpatient and critical patients in an ICU setting.
2. Must be able to identify irregular EEG activity and notify provider if indicated
3. Must be able to identify artifact verses abnormal EEG activity and no what steps to take to assure testing does not have to be repeated.
4. Maintains confidentiality of information related to patients, employees and/or hospital operations at all times
5. Obtains 10 ASET CEUs per year.
6. Responds promptly to hospital when taking call after hours.
7. Clear and concise patient documentation regarding testing and stimulators
8. Reports issues, concerns, problems to manager.
9. Other duties as assigned by management
High School graduate or GED.
Graduate of CAAHEP approved Polysomnography program or EEG program
BRPT boarded as a RPSGT with TN state license or another ABRET recognized medical board.
Must be boarded by ABRET as a REEGT
