• Coordinates the day to day operation of phlebotomy and specimen receiving to ensure all client needs are met.
• Coordinates the training of all new employees, ensuring the new employee checklist is completed in a timely manner.
• Can perform all functions of Technical Assistant.
• Performs registration and billing functions for all patient types.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer functions required to receive, process, distribute and track all types of specimens.
• Accurately orders laboratory test for all types of patients.
• Dispatches, logs and tracks calls for client specimen pickup.
• Pick up specimens collected at all clients; perform the duties of a lab courier as needed.
• Fills supplies for clients within a reasonable turn-around time.
• Assist with restocking supplies in the stockroom.
• Reports any shortages to necessary personnel

Education: High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.     

Experience: At least three (3) years phlebotomy experience and two (2) years SVHS Laboratory experience.
